Wisconsin Department of Transportation crews will set twelve girders next week for the newly widened I-39/90 southbound bridge over WIS 26 in Janesville. WIS 26 (Milton Avenue) will be closed the following nights at the Interstate:
· WIS 26 southbound closed at the Interstate from 10 p.m. Tuesday (July 5) to 5 a.m. Wednesday (July 6).
o Traffic on WIS 26 southbound will be detoured using Deerfield Drive and US 14.
o WIS 26 northbound lanes will remain open.
· WIS 26 northbound closed at I-39/90 from 10 p.m. Wednesday to 5 a.m. Thursday (July 7).
o Northbound WIS 26 traffic will travel east on US 14 to I-39/90 northbound and use Exit 171A to bypass the closure.
o Lanes on WIS 26 southbound will remain open.
All ramps at the WIS 26 interchange and US 14 interchange (Exit 171B) will remain open.
These operations and closures are weather dependent and subject to change.
Motorists should be alert for crews working in the area and drive with caution through all work zones.
