The number of candidates running for Janesville Board of Education drops from seven to six.
Officials with the Janesville School District say Incumbent Kevin Murray, past board member Karl Dommershausen, and new comers Ben Dobson, R. Michael Flynn, Janine Hegle, Thomas Murphy and Robert Zas the Second all turned in the required paperwork to run for office by the January third deadline.
However, a review of that paperwork determined that Robert Zas the Second did not have enough qualifying signatures to be eligible for the ballot.
There are three seats up for election on April 4th.
