Another suspicious man handling a weapon contributes to Janesville Schools being put in a soft lock down Thursday morning.

Janesville Police say a citizen reported seeing a suspicious person near Lincoln Elementary School just after 7:00 a.m.

The man exited a vehicle, stumbled as if he were intoxicated, and picked up a long gun from the ground on the north side of the school near the street.

The suspect is described as a white male who is six feet tall with a thin build, facial hair, and round glasses.

Janesville Police say they do not believe the incident is related to the burglary at the Amageddon Gun Shop that the Sheriff’s office is currently investigating.
