Judge James Daley to retire in March

A long-time Rock County Circuit Court Judge is ready to hang up his robe in March.

Judge James Daley was appointed to branch one of the Rock County Circuit Court in 1989 by Governor Tommy Thompson after having served as Rock County District Attorney.

As presiding judge in Rock County between 1996 and 2015, Daley was instrumental in establishing a Drug Diversion Court, Drunk Driving Diversion Court, and the first regional Veterans Court.

Daley, who was last elected to a six year term in 2014 says it has been his distinct honor and privilege to serve the citizens of Rock County over the last 29 years.

Governor Scott Walker is expected to appoint a judge to serve the remainder of Daley’s term which expires in 2020.
