A move by some Janesville residents to preserve the Monterey Dam might impact plans for its removal. City Public Works Director Paul Woodard told the city council Monday night a petition against the DNR’s decision to allow removal could delay the project’s timeline. Woodard says, depending on the DNR’s response, the city might have to delay putting the project out for bids next month as originally planned. The deadline for the DNR is December 20th.
