Beloit Police Department holds pinning ceremony

The City of Beloit Police Department proudly announces the promotion of one patrol officer to the rank of sergeant of patrol, the hiring of two new patrol officers and the rehiring of one
patrol officer.

A ceremony will be held Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 6:00 PM at the City of Beloit Public Forum located at 100 State Street Beloit, WI 53511.  The ceremony will begin with a welcome and remarks from Police Chief David B. Zibolski and City Manager Lori Curtis Luther, after which we warmly welcome the newest members of the Beloit Police Department Team.

Promotion:

Patrol Officer Jamie Linder will be promoted to the rank of sergeant. Jamie is a seven-year veteran of the Beloit Police Department.

New Hires of two Patrol Officers:

Cole Gille is joining the Beloit Police Department as a Dec. 8, 2017, graduate from Blackhawk Technical College Police Academy. He attended UW-Oshkosh where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice.

Elijah Trulley grew up in Beloit and is joining the Beloit Police Department as a graduate from UWPlatteville with a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice. He will attend the Blackhawk Technical College Police Academy starting on Jan. 8, 2018.

Rehire of one Patrol Officer:

Matthew Lee is returning to the Beloit Police Department as a patrol officer. He is a Beloit native and police academy graduate, having attended Blackhawk Technical both for the academy and associate criminal justice program.
