About 9,400 voters in the City of Janesville could be getting a new polling place for the August primary and all future elections.

City Clerk Dave Godek says the Janesville School district is no longer interested in hosting polling places for voters.

Godek says he’s proposing moving the polling place at Washington Elementary School to Faith Lutheran Church, the polling place at Franklin Middle School to St. Williams Church, and the polling place at Edison Middle School to the Rock County Job Center.

The City Council will decide whether to approve the changes when they meet at 6:00 Monday night.
