A residential fire in Janesville causes $55,000 in damage and displaces two families.
The Janesville Fire Department says crews responded to a duplex on the 1500 block of Beloit Avenue early Sunday morning and found smoke and flames visible from the rear unit.
All of the occupants had already made it out of both units and more than 20 firefighters from Milton and Janesville helped attack the fire.
One person was transported to a hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
The residents of both units are currently staying with friends and family.
