A 33-year-old Lake Geneva man is accused of speeding and smoking pot with two kids in his car on the way home from Wisconsin Dells.
The Rock County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy stopped a vehicle driven by James Gronert just before 6:00 p.m. Saturday on East Highway 14 at Henke Road because it was traveling at 95 miles an hour.
The deputy smelled a strong odor of burnt marijuana and says Gronert addmitted he was smoking pot in the vehicle.
Gronert has three prior operating while intoxicated convictions and had two children under 16 in the vehicle with him.
Gronert was placed under for arrest for felony operating with a detectable amount of a controlled substance fourth offense with passengers under 16.
