One of the six candidates in the First Congressional District Republican primary is dropping out. Brad Boivin of Delafield announced Monday he is withdrawing from the race. Boivin says after hundreds of phone calls to donors, and with most saying they’d support whoever Paul Ryan endorses, he had to be realistic about staying competitive moving forward. Ryan has endorsed Bryan Steil, who Boivin says he now endorses. The Republican candidates remaining include Paul Nehlen, Nick Polce, Jeremy Ryan, Kevin Steen, and Steil.
