Local law enforcement works together in a two-day search to capture a 29-year-old man wanted for the attack on a woman in the Town of Beloit. Police began looking for Bartholomew D. Baumann Tuesday night after the woman reported being repeatedly hit in the face, dragged by her hair, choked, and held against her. Baumann’s unoccupied vehicle was found about 1:30 Thursday morning in the 1900 block of McKinley Avenue. Town of Beloit Police say Baumann was arrested around 7:30 Thursday night after a resident reported seeing him entering a corn field in the same area as where his car was found. Several police departments, a drone, and K9 were used in the search.
