Rock County Clerk Lisa Tollefson says voter turnout for Tuesday’s  primary was up slightly from two years ago.  Tollefson says more than 27,000 ballots were cast representing 22-percent of registered voters.  19 1/2-percent of registered voters turned out two years ago.  She adds voters appear to be adapting to the loss of schools as polling sites in Janesville, remarking both the Job Center and Faith Lutheran Church were busy.  They replaced Edison Middle and Washington Elementary schools.
