Janesville Fire Chief Randy Banker’s planned retirement is official.
The Janesville Police and Fire Commission voted unanimously to accept Banker’s resignation letter during their regular meeting Wednesday with no discussion.
Banker joined the Janesville Fire Department in 2016 and says his retirement isn’t related to the current battle between the union and city management.
