Beloit fire officials are investigating the cause of a blaze about 8:45 a.m. Friday morning  at a home in the 1000 block of 10th Street. Nothing unusual about that, but what is remarkable according to city Director of Strategic Communications Sarah Millard is a passerby helped rescue six residents from the burning building, included catching two children trapped on the second floor.  The good Samaritan also helped a child and man with limited mobility escape the first floor.  Two other adults escaped from the second.   Fire officials report extensive damage to the front of the home, but no injuries.
