More details released in the murder of former Janesville woman

More details are coming out about the murder of a former Janesville woman who as homeless and living in Florida.

Marathon County Florida Sheriff’s Department Spokesperson Adam Linhardt says 51-year-old Michelle Rena Osborne was found by a fisherman the day before Thanksgiving but her remains were not identified until this week.

An autopsy indicated Osborne had been sexually assaulted and strangled to death.

Hours after finding her body, deputies arrested 58-year-old Steven M. Wolf after finding him in a van that matched evidence found at the scene of the crime.

Wolf faces charges of second-degree murder, failure to report a death, and evidence tampering.
