A group of UW-Madison students have a plan for renewable energy for Juda School.

The University has a partnership with Green County as part of a senior capstone project for engineering students.

Project Manager Brooke Marten says the system they designed would combine solar and geothermal energy to reduce Juda School’s energy costs by 25 percent.

At this stage, it’s only a concept and design, but Marten and her classmates also suggested potential funding options for the school.

They visited with students at Juda School to talk about engineering and college opportunities.
