Local communities declare snow emergencies ahead of Friday’s snow storm.
The City of Beloit’s snow emergency goes into affect at 5:00 p.m. Friday and runs through 5:00 p.m. Saturday. Any vehicle parked on city streets during this time is subject to a ticket or tow.
The City of Janesville has declared a snow emergency which goes into affect at 10:00 Friday night and runs until the streets have bee plowed curb to curb. For citizens who don’t have off street parking available, there are several downtown parking lots that can be utilized during the snow emergency.
The Town of Beloit has also declared a snow emergency which runs from 5:00 Friday evening through 5:00 Saturday evening.
