Two people are dead and one person is suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound following an incident Monday in Walworth County.
Delavan Police say officers were dispatched to a home on the 400 block of Buckingham Court in the Village of Darien around 6:00 p.m. on the report that someone had been shot.
First responders found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the shoulder and he was transported to a local hospital.
Law enforcement set up a perimeter around the home and after being unable to make contact with the occupants for several hours, the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team forced entry.
Inside the home officers found two dead bodies – a man and a woman.
While police are still investigating the incident they say there is no ongoing danger to the community.
