The Rock County Medical Examiner’s Department identifies the woman, killed earlier this week in an automobile crash northwest of Footville, as 29-year-old Rachelle M. Dement of Beloit. The Rock County Sheriff’s Office says Dement was driving southbound on West County B at North Coon Island Road about 4:00 Monday afternoon when she failed to stop at the stop sign, and was hit by a dump truck. Officials say she, and a five-year old were ejected from the vehicle. The truck driver, and a two-month old in the victim’s car, were not seriously injured.
