A pair of area non-profit organizations are exploring a partnership to bring their services under one roof.

Community Action Executive Director Ceclia Dever says they want to add Comprehensive Family Services’ Head Start program to their services.

The two organizations are still exploring the partnership, but Dever says both groups are supportive of the idea.

They would work together to apply for the next Head Start five-year grant cycle, which would be in excess of $6 million per year.

The application for funding would take place in the spring, giving them months to solidify the partnership.

Dever says both organizations are required to conduct needs assessments and form strategic plans, and combining their resources would help them better serve the community.
