As the Beloit School Board grapples with the sudden ouster of Superintendent Stanley Monro after only six-months of service, a familiar name is suggested as a potential replacement. School board member Pam Charles Tuesday night floated the idea of bringing back former Superintendent Tom Johnson. District officials say Johnson has been recuperating after resigning two years ago due to health issues. The board did interview three retired former administrators this past weekend. They are William Beckley, Carol Fox, and Sue Green. The board expects to choose an interim director by the end of the week.
