Some of the best ice sculptors in the nation will be in our area this week. Visit Lake Geneva President and CEO Stephanie Ann Klett says these competitors, from as far away as Alaska, are a big part of the 25th annual Winterfest. Klett says these guys and gals are serious, because this is the National Ice Sculpting Championships. She says the winners will go on to the international finals, so they’re in it to win it. The event as also attracting a lot of attention with several of the major networks planning news coverage. The ice sculptors begin rolling in Tuesday night with carving starting Wednesday. Klett says Winterfest also includes a variety of of events and attractions through Sunday.
