Janesville Police are releasing more information about a Friday night shooting.

Lieutenant Kodd Kleisner says a neighbor drove a man to Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center in Janesville around 11:00 p.m. with a serious eye injury after he had been shot with a pellet gun.

Police believe it’s an isolated incident, and there are no public safety concerns because the victim knew a person who was with the shooter.

Janesville Police say the victim was having people over at his home Friday night when a woman the victim knew came to the door. The victim did not want the woman in the home and pushed the door closed.

The woman and two people who were with her forced their way into the house. One of the people with the woman shot the pellet gun.

The shooter has not been identified.

The incident happened near downtown.
