State Representative Mark Spreitzer says Democrats have been trying unsuccessfully for years to create fair legislative maps based on the state of Iowa’s model.
The Beloit Democrat says the Governor’s commission will be made up of the people of Wisconsin that will be tasked with drawing fair, impartial legislative maps to be presented to the Legislature for consideration following the 2020 Census.
Spretizer says self-interested legislators shouldn’t have any say in how the maps are drawn.
