Local colleges prepare for potential pandemic

UW-Whitewater is encourage students and staff to reconsider their travel plans during Spring Break. The university is also recommending students take home all instructional materials and necessary personal items when they leave for Spring Break March 23rd in the eventuality the campus moves to alternative instruction. Other University of Wisconsin Schools including Madison and Milwaukee have already made the decision to suspend face-to-face instruction.

Beloit College is also opting for on-line learning after students return form spring break, which has been extended a week. All on-campus events have also been canceled through the end of the month. In a statement Wednesday school officials indicated the plan aligns with their commitment to delivering excellence in learning while insuring the health and safety of the Beloit College community.
