The Janesville School District officially begins a new on-line learning program Monday. Superintendent Steve Pophal says up until now optional resources were available for students. Pophal says teachers have been working tirelessly for the last two weeks to train and get ready. He says the program will be a new way for students to learn, teachers to teach, and parents to support their kids. The superintendent suggests allowing a little grace considering the transition includes 1500 employees delivering services to almost 10,000 kids. Wireless Internet hotspots are being made available in all the elementary school parking lots for those in need.
