An employee at Autumn Lake Healthcare in Beloit tests positive for COVID-19.
Administrator Susan Viken said the employee is not a direct care worker and had minimal exposure to any residents.
The person has not been in the Autumn Lake facility for 10 days, but Viken did not specify how long ago the positive test was confirmed.
No residents of the senior home are showing any symptoms of the disease, and Viken said they have “ample” supplies of personal protective equipment.
Autumn Lake also has a separate unit set up in its facility to care for any patients who become at-risk, and both staff and residents are monitored regularly for any changes in their conditions.
COVID-19 cases have previously been reported at Oak Park Place, Evansville Manor and Home Instead Senior Care.
