A traffic crash in Clinton kills two men and sends a third person to the hospital.

The Clinton Police Department said a Jeep was traveling eastbound on Milwaukee Road when it struck a legally parked Union Pacific railroad truck near the intersection of Scot Drive just before 11:00 a.m. Thursday.

First responders found the two adult male occupants of the Jeep dead on the scene of the crash, and one of the two Union Pacific employees in the truck was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police have not released the names of the victims until their families are notified, and the Rock County Medical Examiner’s Office is working to determine their exact causes of death.

The Wisconsin State Patrol, the Rock County Sheriff’s Office and the Union Pacific Railroad Police are helping in the investigation into the cause of the crash.
