One man is dead and another is recovering from serious injuries following a crash on Highway 51 in the Town of Beloit.
Police say one vehicle rear-ended another vehicle at high speeds on southbound Riverside Drive at around 2:40 a.m. Saturday.
The rear vehicle lost control and struck a guard rail before coming to rest in the ditch.
The driver, 32-year-old Darius Kilgore, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
His passenger, 31-year-old Carl Knight, was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
The occupants of the front vehicle were not injured.
