Milton High School has it’s first confirmed case of COVID-19.
According to an email that was sent to district families Monday the administration was notified that an individual within the school has recently tested positive for the virus.
Principal Jeremy Bilhorn says that through contact tracing protocol the district has identified and notified all families whose students have likely had close contact with the person who tested positive.
The individual with COVID-19 and anyone who had close contact with that person will not return to the school until they have approval from the Rock County Public Health Department.
Classes for all other students will continue as scheduled.
The District says staff have followed the daily cleaning and disinfecting protocols throughout the building, including they areas the individual with COVID-19 used over the past several days.
