The City of Beloit picks its new economic development director.
Jennifer Hall will take over as president of the Greater Beloit Economic Development Corporation following the retirement of Andrew Janke on January 15.
She previously served as president at Catalyst Business Solutions in Rockford for more than a decade before taking over as Mercyhealth’s vice president of government relations.
In 2016, she was criticized by the Rockford City Council over a perceived conflict of interest as a consultant for both the Winnebago County Board and Mercyhealth, according to the Rockford Register Star.
One of her primary tasks in her new role will be overseeing the continued growth of the Gateway Business Park and downtown Beloit.
