Clinton police arrest a high school coach following an investigation into a sexual assault complaint.

36-year-old Tyler Clark was taken into custody Sunday on potential charges of physical abuse of a child and two counts of disorderly conduct.

Clinton police said the initial complaint came on December 27 when a female student reported Clark touching her inappropriately during a practice at the school.

The investigation led police to a second student who reported being battered by Clark during the same practice last month.

The Clinton School District said Clark was placed on administrative leave after the complaint, and he resigned on December 28.

The district’s website indicated he coached the wrestling team, and the coaching job was his only position in the district.
