The Rock County Emergency Operations Center extends operation of it’s emergency warming shelter due to the ongoing dangerously low temperatures.

Citizens can get out of the cold during the day by visiting any of the Rock County Libraries or Uptown Janesville – formerly known as the Janesville Mall.

Individuals who need emergency shelter overnight, specifically related to the extreme cold can call Rock County Crisis at 757-5025 for access to the Overnight Warming Shelter.

The overnight shelter will be open through Saturday.
