Local workers may be getting a call from health officials about pandemic precautions being taken on the job. Rock County officials say the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is conducting follow-up interviews to identify risk factors for COVID-19 transmission in the workplace. Officials want anyone receiving a call from state contact tracers to know this is not a scam. The caller may ask a date of birth for identification purposes, but will not ask for any financial or insurance information. The information is intended to help increase knowledge about the spread of COVID-19.
