Milwaukee man arrested for breaking into Elkhorn woman’s home and assaulting her

A Milwaukee man is accused of breaking into an Elkhorn woman’s home and assaulting her.

According to a joint news release from the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office and Elkhorn Police Department, the victim called 9-11 just after 1:30 the afternoon of March 18 to report a person she believed to be Michael C. Budish was pounding on her door.

Officers arrived about four minutes later and Budish was gone but the victim reported that he had broken through her door and assaulted her.

About 10 minutes later a Sheriff’s Deputy spotted Burdish’s vehicle traveling north on I-43 in the Village of East Troy.

After backup arrived, Budish was stopped in Waukesha County.

He was taken into custody without incident on suspicion of felony intimidation of a victim, attempted strangulation, false imprisonment, criminal damage to property, and disorderly conduct.
