A 27-year-old Beloit man is facing a number of charges after police say he was in his drive-way firing a handgun early Sunday morning. Police say they were called to the 600 block of Porter Avenue just after 1:00 a.m. As they arrived, they saw the suspect and heard a clanking sound. They found a silver handgun in the driveway and arrested the man on charges including being armed while intoxicated, discharging a gun in the city limits, and felon in possession of a firearm.
