A more than $662,000 grant from the State Department of Public Instruction will help the Parkview School District in Orfordville develop a new online charter school.
District Administrator Steve Lutzke says the goal is to launch Parkview Academy of Virtual Education in the 2022 – 2023 school year.
Lutzke says the district has been providing virtual instruction for students that weren’t successful in the traditional learning environment for more than five years.
The Lincoln Academy in Beloit also received a $750,000 grant.
