A 29-year-old Monroe man is under arrest following a hit-and-run accident with injuries.
According to a news release, Monroe Police were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident with injuries at West 8th Street and 4th Avenue West just after noon Wednesday.
Investigation determined that a 44-year-old Illinois woman was driving west on West 8th Street when a second vehicle pulled out from 4th Avenue West an collided with her vehicle.
The second vehicle, left the scene, however the victim was able to get a photo of it, which included the license place.
Officers located the driver of the suspect vehicle, Donald J. Alexander, about 30 minutes later and cited him for hit and run to an attended vehicle, operating a motor vehicle after suspension, failure to yield the right of way during a left turn, and operating without insurance.
Alexander was also taken into custody for a probation violation
