Two adults, a cat, and a pet rabbit are displaced after a residential fire on Janesville’s near southwest side.  Firefighters found smoke coming from the first floor of the home when they arrived a little before 3:00 p.m. Monday.  Officials say a woman was rescued from the second floor.  Damage was confined to the kitchen, and is estimated to be around $50 thousand.  Investigators say the fire was unintentional, and likely caused by a candle.
