Blackhawk Technical College’s newest, referendum approved training facility, is complete. BTC Director of Marketing and Communications Liz Paulsen says the fire training tower is four stories tall and built out of shipping containers. Paulsen says it’s built into a variety of burn rooms to simulate different challenges firefighters might face. She says instructors will be on campus Tuesday to begin exploring its potential. Students could be learning the latest fire fighting techniques by the spring semester.
