Supreme Court’s decision disappoints local legislator

The Wisconsin Supreme Court’s decision this week to make the “minimum changes necessary” to Republican drawn voting maps is disappointing to a local legislator.  44th Assembly District Representative Sue Conley of Janesville says she fears what it means for Democracy.  Conley says the only policies passed into law in Wisconsin must have the blessing of the GOP.  The Democrat says 70% of Wisconsin residents want fair maps, and the current gerrymandering isn’t good for any constituency.  She adds Republican leadership is clearly comfortable with ignoring half the population in Wisconsin.
