A 54-year-old Beloit man is facing a number of charges after an early morning traffic stop. Beloit police say Randall Hoyt was pulled over about 2:00 a.m. Thursday near the intersection of St. Lawrence Avenue and Johnson Road, but attempted to escape on foot. Police say Hoyt was found hiding in a nearby back-yard and was arrested on charges including Resisting, Felon in Possession of a Concealed Weapon, and Operating While Intoxicated 9th Offense.
