Researchers with the UW-Whitewater Center for Political Science and Public Policy Research present the findings of a recent online citizen satisfaction survey to the Janesville City Council.

Professor Jolly Emery says while 75 percent of the 623 residents surveyed agreed the City is a good place to live, there’s still room for improvement.

Emery says 33 percent of residents don’t feel Janesville is welcoming with respect to race, ethnicity, and or religion, which is something City leaders should explore.

Emery says residents were also more dissatisfied than they were satisfied with the quality of the roads and streets in Janesville.

The survey included 32 closed-ended questions and six open ended questions asking about everything from satisfaction of city services to perception of City leaders.
