A 46-year-old Monroe woman is under arrest, accused of stealing memorial items from graves at local cemeteries.
According to a news release, officers investigating thefts from Calvary Cemetery and Greenwood Cemetery executed a search warrant on a residence on the 2600 block of 8th Avenue just before 1:30 last Thursday afternoon.
As a result of the search, officers arrested Carrie A. Thompson on a charge of theft.
Thompson was booked at the Green County Jail and released pending a court appearance.
