UW Whitewater’s Center for Inclusive Transition, Education and Employment has been awarded approximately 9.1 million dollars.
Director Jessica Smith says this money will greatly help them with the work they do by adding money to the centers Qualified Treatment Trainees program and increase the amount of grant awards to provider agencies across the state.
Smith says this money will help not only students, but also those off campus who have been on long waiting lists while dealing with mental health or substance abuse issues.
The grant money will help CITEE’s Qualified Treatment Trainees program which helps place behavior health professionals.
