The 71-year-old Beloit man who was arrested last month in Iowa by the U.S. Marshalls Service after he failed to appear in Rock County Court on child pornography charges is being held on a $10,000 cash bond.

Michael McMahon was charged with two counts of possession of child pornography following a search warrant at his home in February of 2020.

Police say he admitted downloading child pornography on his computer and stored those downloads on thumb drives.

McMahon was arrested at Fort Dodge, Iowa Days Inn following a tip from the Webster County Sheriff’s Office.

In Rock County Court last week Judge John Wood ordered that McMahon forfeit his original $2,500 cash bond.

McMahon is due back in court for a calendar call on November 9th.
