The trial of Marcus Randle El, the former Badger player accused of shooting two women to death, continued Friday afternoon, with one of the victims’ mother taking the witness stand.
Justine Watson, mother to Sierra Winchester, detailed a text message she had received from Randle El saying he didn’t want trouble and had done his best to provide for Winchester, but in all caps said he wanted what was his.
Watson explained what she knew about her daughters relationship with Randle El, noting Winchister was scared of him and felt like she couldn’t “shake” him back in 2019.
Winchester, along with Brittany McAdory, were found shot in Janesville in 2020.
The trial resumes Monday morning.
