Some citizens of Whitewater fear the future of the fitness and aquatic center could be in jeopardy.
Save the Pool Committee Organizer Jeff Knight says the operating agreement for the facility, which is jointly run by the City of Whitewater and the Whitewater Unified School District, lapsed two years ago.
Knight says the Save the Pool Committee is hoping to expedite the completion of a new operating agreement, educate the public, and help in any way they can to continue operating the Aquatic Center in its current state.
Members of the community are invited to attend an organizational meeting on April 5th at 6:00pm at the Cravath Lakefront Community Center.
