A 53-year-old Evansville man who brought a knife to a daycare to threaten his ex-wife will spend a year in the Rock County Jail.

Back in July Dewayne Harnack plead guilty to first-degree recklessly endangering safety and felony bail jumping; and no contest to disorderly conduct with use of a dangerous weapon.

Rock County Judge Jeffrey Kuglitsch dismissed but read into the record and addition charge of disorderly conduct and two counts of misdemeanor bail jumping.

According to online court records, in addition to the jail time, Judge Kuglitsch sentenced Harnack last week to five years of probation. He must also complete the Domestic Violence Intervention Program.

According to the criminal complaint, Harnack brought a knife to the daycare operated out of United Church of Christ in Evansville last August and threatened to stab the victim over a dispute about money.
