DESCRIPTION:The ride is in memory of Larry Bassett who died of liver cancer in 2020. \nAll proceeds go to an amazing charity “Hogs for Heroes”. Hogs for Heroes is a Wisconsin only nonprofit dedicated to healing the mental and physical wounds suffered during active duty by our Wisconsin military veterans through therapeutic benefits of owning and riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle. Hogs for Heroes set an initial goal of giving one Harley a year to change one life a year\, They raised their first dollar in 2015 and gave away the first Harley in the spring of 2016\, by 2023 they had given away 41 motorcycles\, far exceeding expectations\, and plan to give away another 9 Harleys in 2024. \nCome join this event to support a great charity\, our veterans\, and enjoy a great ride.

Mike is most appreciated in person. He is one of the best live acts you will see this year! \nOpener: Steve Peters\nSteve Peters is electric. Having started his comedy career just a few short years ago\, Steve has already been named Fourth Funniest Person in Wichita and has opened for comedy greats such as Tommy Davidson\, Michael Harrison\, and Mo Alexander. His style of comedy ranges from hilarious one- liners and observational to storytelling and politics. As a child growing up his family was extremely well off for the first 8 years of his life. Leaving a 5\,000 square foot 4 bedroom house in the suburbs for a 500 square feet one bedroom apartment in the hood makes you see the world differently. Having been everything from a police officer to a door to door vacuum cleaner salesman and high threat security contractor in Iraq and Afghanistan\, he is now a nomadic comedian! DESCRIPTION:HSSW is partnering with Skelly’s Farm Market to offer a beautiful and delicious 5k and 1-mile run/walk! \nOn Saturday\, August 3rd\, participants of all ages will have the opportunity to race or mosey through Skelly’s 6-acre sunflower field\, scenic nearby roads\, and strawberry beds\, with an apple cider donut waiting at the finish line. Well-behaved\, leashed dogs are welcome! \nRegistration is $40 (increases June 1st!) and includes a race bib with time tracking\, admission to the sunflower field\, and an apple cider donut. Race T-shirts will be available for purchase with proceeds benefiting HSSW’s mission of helping pets going home again. \nA significant portion of ticket sales will also benefit HSSW\, as well as $1 from every non-race participant sunflower field admission that day!
